How can we provide everyone with the useful digital skills?

In order to accompany the digital transition in an innovative and practical way, the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Centre (LLLC) of the Chamber of Employees (Chambre des salariés) has designed the “Digital skills training” program. This program includes 7 trainings on topics in line with the current needs of employees and the labor market, such as: network infrastructure, programming, cybersecurity, cloud, Devnet, …

Most of these courses start with modules that allow you to acquire basic computer kills and are therefore accessible to anyone wishing to learn about digital technology.

Intermediate and advanced modules are then offered. They can be integrated by those who have taken the basic modules, but also by professionals who already work in the digital/informatics sector. For the latter, it is possible to start the course directly with an intermediate or advanced module.

These courses are designed in such a way that after completing certain modules or the entire course, the participant is ready to obtain one or more certifications recognized in the professional world. With the job market in constant search of IT profiles, many career opportunities are thus available.

Transforming these new digital skills into sustainable performance

All these professional training courses are delivered in a blended-learning format by Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA certified trainers. Each course consists of face-to-face classes in a lab equipped with servers, routers, cabling, laptops, etc., as well as online classes and labs with virtualization and network simulation tools.

This pedagogical environment aims to improve the assimilation of theoretical concepts by applying them directly to real situations. Thanks to years of professional experience, trainers are able to illustrate their respective courses with specific cases from the working world that are truly in line with the concerns of the field.

Through its “Digital skills training” program, the LLLC offers the opportunity to acquire new digital skills and relevant certifications. Everyone can thus become an actor in the transition towards a digital culture, an undeniable competitive advantage on the Luxembourg market.
