Sony haluaa Playstationin saavan ne parhaat versiot peleistä –

Xbox Game Pass on iso juttu, ja Sony panostaa kovasti omiin yksinoikeuspeleihinsä. Näyttää siis siltä, että niitä suuren budjetin monialustapelejä on tulossa jatkossa odotettua vähemmän. Sony haluaa silti edelleen panostaa ulkopuolisten kehittäjien peleihin ja nimenomaan niin, että se paras versio saadaan Playstationille.

Asiasta kertoi Playstationin “head of third-party portfolio and acquisitons” Shawne Benson haastattelussaan Games Industrylle. Yksinoikeudet ovat tärkeitä, mutta painopisteenä on tarjota erilaisia pelikokemuksia.

“— really the focus – especially with a digital distribution model that is more prevalent than in generations past – is that there are different types of gameplay out there.”

Bensonin mukaan tavoitteena on, että Playstation 5 ja PSVR 2 ovat ne parhaat paikat pelata monialustapelejä.

“There’s a lot of things we could do and then create marketing stories around. And that’s where some of these partnerships for multiplatform games really focus.”
